Wojciech Stefaniak

Wojciech Stefaniak is a physiotherapist who combines knowledge and experience with a genuine passion for movement and people. He works with both children and adults, integrating the Bobath Concept, PNF, Cyriax techniques, movement analysis, ergonomics, and a broad range of neurological and functional physiotherapy approaches in his daily practice.

He earned his degree at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy at Opole University of Technology, where he now pursues his doctoral studies in kinesiology and continues his academic work as a lecturer since 2012. In 2018, together with colleagues, he founded the Polish Bobath Therapists Association and became its first president — a position he still holds, actively promoting and developing the Bobath Concept in Poland.

Wojciech has also gained international experience in Germany, Spain, and Switzerland, working with Bobath and PNF instructors from around the world. He regularly participates in advanced courses and educational projects, and for many years has served as a translator for specialized physiotherapy training programs.

His commitment extends beyond clinical practice — he coordinates the establishment of the Center for Adapted Physical Activity at Opole University of Technology, aimed at increasing access to physical activity for people with disabilities and special needs.

Outside of work, he is a devoted husband and father, and a highly active person — a certified snowboard instructor (SITS, IVSI), yacht skipper, NAUI diver, and paragliding pilot. For him, sports and travel are not just passions but also sources of inspiration in therapy — they teach courage, body awareness, and perseverance.

Open-minded, dedicated, and ambitious, Wojciech values collaboration, knowledge exchange, and continuous learning — all in the service of helping his patients and advancing physiotherapy both in Poland and abroad.

Tomasz Waraksa

Tomasz completed his Master’s studies in Physiotherapy at the University of Physical Education in Warsaw, where he developed an early interest in neurorehabilitation. As part of a volunteer program with the Active Rehabilitation Foundation, he supported patients in learning self-care skills and conducted aquatic therapy sessions. Through the Erasmus program, he completed an internship at the National Spinal Injuries Centre in Stoke Mandeville Hospital (Aylesbury, UK), where he experienced one of the highest standards of rehabilitation for patients with spinal cord injuries.

He began his professional career at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, gaining experience in intensive neurological care, general neurology, neurological rehabilitation, and outpatient work. This was a formative period marked by collaboration with an outstanding multidisciplinary team. At the same time, he deepened his knowledge in assessing patients with varying levels of consciousness — from coma to vegetative and minimally conscious states — during a clinical internship at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in London.

In time, he joined the team at the ORTHOS Functional Rehabilitation Center, where he continues to broaden his clinical experience. He also has experience working with patients in home-based rehabilitation settings and implementing the 24-hour care model, which emphasizes close collaboration between the family and the therapeutic team. He often says that he was fortunate to meet remarkable mentors who shaped his approach to patient care — something he remains deeply grateful for.

He continues to refine his skills in the Bobath Concept under the guidance of instructors such as Benedikt Bömer, Marc Michielsen, Agnieszka Śliwka, Mary Lynch-Ellerington, and Miguel Benito Garcia.

Today, Tomasz is part of the Opole University of Technology, at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy, where he combines research and teaching — two equally important dimensions of his professional passion. He finds great fulfillment in both exploring new knowledge and sharing it with students.

Outside of work, Tomasz enjoys reading, listening to vinyl records, and taking moments of stillness. He values quiet reflection as a way to gain perspective and mental clarity. He finds peace and balance in his everyday life through the practice of meditation.

Sport is also an important part of his life. He is not attached to any single discipline — he enjoys exploring his body through various forms of movement such as running, climbing, ski touring, trekking, yoga, and strength training.

Agnieszka Śliwka

Agnieszka Śliwka is not only an Associate Professor in Medical and Health Sciences, but above all a dedicated physiotherapist who has been combining clinical practice with scientific and teaching work for many years.
She works at the Department of Rehabilitation in Internal Diseases, Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków – a place where science and real patient care go hand in hand.

She began with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, and today she proudly holds the title of Associate Professor (as of August 2024). She has been consistently developing her professional path, gaining subsequent academic degrees and experience – including international ones.

She is a certified Bobath Concept instructor – one of the most respected therapeutic approaches for patients with central nervous system lesions – and the first person in Poland to start training other professionals in this field.

In her teaching, she focuses on quality and practice – conducting classes, supervising master’s theses, and sharing her knowledge at conferences.

Her research focuses on neurological, pulmonary, and vascular physiotherapy, combining various disciplines in the search for more effective therapeutic methods.

She is currently involved in projects investigating the influence of deep muscle exercises on breathing in post-stroke patients, a preventive program for patients at risk of thrombosis, and postural disorders in women with pelvic venous congestion.

Every day, Agnieszka works directly with patients – helping them regain independence and teaching their bodies how to move and breathe anew.

She supports both people after severe neurological injuries and those struggling with pain resulting from postural dysfunctions or muscle tension.

Privately, she is a wife, mother, tennis enthusiast, movement lover, and passionate traveler. Although no document can fully capture her energy, one thing is certain – Agnieszka is someone who never stands still and truly loves what she does.

Aleskandra Kucińska

Ola is a specialist who practices physiotherapy not only as a profession but also as a genuine passion. For over 20 years, she has been helping patients regain function, supporting young therapists, and actively contributing to the development of the entire profession. Her experience is built on thousands of hours of clinical work with neurological patients, countless courses and trainings, and her strong involvement in teaching and international collaboration.

She holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University School of Physical Education in Katowice, followed by a specialization in physiotherapy. In 2023, she completed the international IBITA instructor training program, becoming a certified Bobath Concept instructor – one of the most widely recognized approaches in neurological rehabilitation.

Ola is driven by challenges that help her grow both professionally and personally. She has coordinated physiotherapy teams in neurological rehabilitation and coma treatment units, teaches students, lectures at universities and nursing chambers, and supports the professional development of other therapists by conducting courses and workshops in Poland and abroad. She is professionally affiliated with GCR Repty and the Opole University of Technology.
